A paper counter on College Street
Pustak Ghar began as a narrow counter in Kolkata's book market, selling exercise books and blue-black ink to students from the colleges next door. Today our notebooks and journals are still folded, sewn and cased by hand in the bindery behind the shop, on acid-free paper we test with wet fountain-pen nibs.
